Power Cell invited through a Request for Proposals (RFP) on May 03, 2010 to interested pre-qualified Bidders to submit Proposals for the right to develop a 330 - 450 MW Gas-fired Combined-Cycle Power Station at Bibiyana on a Build, Own and Operate (BOO) basis for a period of 22 years. The proposal submission date is 30 September, 2010.

Bibiyana Site located near the town of Sadipur, Habiganj District near Sylhet and approximately two kilometers downstream of the N2 highway bridge over the Kushiyara River. It is approximately 180 kilometers northeast of Dhaka.

The Facility shall comprise a complete gas fired Combined Cycle Facility of 330 MW to 450 MW with all support facilities required for commercial operation. The main power block shall consist of one or more gas turbines, one or more gas turbine generators, one steam turbine, one steam turbine generator and one or more heat recovery generators.
