The project site location for this new private power project is in the north west of Bangladesh, approximately 140 km from dhaka, on the west bank of the Jamuna River, adjacent to Bangabandhu Bridge. The site area is developed land currently owned by BPDB. BPDB will lease the site to the project company for a period equal to the team of the Power Purchase Agreement.

Notice issued on January 26, 2012 for the Qualification Document and for submit Proposals from the Bidders to implement a 300-450 MW Dual Fuel (Furnace Oil/ Gas Fired) Combined Cycle Power Project under the GOB’s Public Private Partnership (PPP) program on a Build, Own and Operate (BOO) basis at Sirajganj, Bangladesh.
